For this reason, an adventure-travel necessity like the BMW GS was chosen for a trip that went beyond a simple geographical destination. Iceland is in some respects the most extreme country on Earth; it set the stage for an adventure where the R 1200 GS Rallye and the G 310 GS were not only the perfect travel companions, but in turn also protagonists.
